Privacy & Cookie Policy
How we collect, use and protect your personal information, and how we use cookies on this website.
Last updated: 12 October 2026
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Roof Maintenance Group Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a roofing company based at 10 Summerfield Place, Aberdeen, AB24 5JF. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy and we are committed to handling it in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email us at [email protected] or call 01224 907992.
2. Information we collect
When you use our quote request / contact form, we collect:
- your name and email address;
- your phone number (if you choose to give it);
- the service you are interested in and any details you include in your message.
We also hold information you give us when you phone or email us, and the details needed to quote for, carry out and invoice any work (such as the property address).
If you agree to analytics cookies, we will also collect anonymous usage information about how you use the website — see the Cookies section below.
3. How we use your information
- to respond to your enquiry and provide a quote;
- to arrange, carry out and invoice roofing work you ask us to do;
- to keep records required for accounting, insurance and warranty purposes (for example, registering a SIG Roofing One Warranty);
- with your consent, to understand how our website is used so we can improve it.
Our lawful bases are: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract; our legitimate interests in running and improving our business; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent (for analytics cookies). We do not sell your information and we do not use it for marketing without your permission.
4. Who we share it with
We only share your information where needed, with:
- our website hosting and email providers, who store and deliver enquiries on our behalf;
- suppliers or warranty providers where needed for your job (for example, to register a product warranty);
- our accountants, insurers and professional advisers;
- Google, if you accept analytics cookies (see below);
- authorities where the law requires us to.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 2 years and then deleted. If we carry out work for you, we keep job and invoice records for 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to (or longer where needed to support a warranty), as required for tax and legal purposes.
6. Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To make a request, contact us using the details above — we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
